the thesis deals with the hierarchy of language in the swiss german (theatre) context, it explores different aspects of multlingualism and is an ode to postmonolingualism and its benefits and unrestricting approach to language. my (m)other tongues weaves the essay with personal anecdotes, lists, games and creates a poetic research, without a claim for completeness.
the thesis is written in german and italian, with fragments of swiss german, southern italian dialect as well as english.
